Applesauce: Homemade

A lot of healthy options recipe requires applesauce. So I decided to make my own applesauce while we are under Enhanced Community Quarantine. I made it easy and readily available ingredients. Here are the ingredients:

2-4 medium apple (peeled, cut into cubes)

1 cup of water

5 tablespoon of sugar

1 Tbsp. vanilla extract

1 tbsp of lemon or calamari juice

In a saucepan, wash the peeled apple with water. Add sugar and vanilla extract. Turn on the stove and stir in Apple to combined. Bring the apple mixture into a boil for 10 to minutes. Check if fork tender and water reduced. While cooling mash it with fork or potato masher. Transfer to a container and let it cool.

The applesauce is good for chilling. The best topping on french toast for breakfast or another ingredient to your recipes.
